Ephesians 6:11–12 (NKJV)“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of this darkness, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
The Apostle Paul uses the image of a Roman soldier’s armor to illustrate the spiritual protection God provides. The whole armor represents truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, God’s Word, and prayer. The devil is strategic; he uses deception in clever ways to lead people away from God. Remember, the real battle isn’t with other humans. People may oppose us, but there is a deeper spiritual reality — we fight this battle within ourselves: the old nature (hate, anger, selfishness, etc.) against the new life God has given us in Christ (love, faith, joy, etc.).
When we recognize this deeper opposition, we can stop blaming others and start leaning more on God’s Spirit to transform us from the inside out. And yes, there are other struggles — powerful spiritual forces, organized ranks of evil described as rulers, authorities, and powers that we don't fully understand. All these reflect an unseen demonic influence working against God’s purposes.
To stand firm, we have the most powerful weapons in this world: prayer, the Word (Bible), fasting, and praise. Let’s use them! Stand up like a warrior fighting for your soul, your family, your friends, and for everything God has already given you.Take your position in the battle, because we are called to greater things — and greater things require greater faith.
